Unless part of an Ohio Public High School training program, pharmacy technician traineess must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma, GED, or foreign school diploma equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma. Applicants must provide identification and a diploma.
If the applicant is a part of an approved high school technician training program, they are permitted to register when they are 17 years old. A list of approved high schools can be found www.pharmacy.ohio.gov/highschooltechtraining.
Pharmacy Technician Trainee applicants who completed their primary/high school education outside of the United States are required to submit evidence of English proficiency. For more information on English proficiency requirements, please review this guidance document.
