As you should already know, rule 4729-5-24 Prescription Copy was approved by the State Board of Pharmacy to be reversed back to its previous language and will therefore no longer restrict the number of prescription transfers for non-controlled substances to one. The effective date of this rule change is June 16, 2011. NOTICE TO WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTORS RENEWING FOR 2012/2013:
Please note, per House Bill 153, effective 7/1/2011, the fee for both renewing a Wholesale Distributor of Dangerous Drugs license and applying for a new Wholesale Distributor of Dangerous Drugs license has increased due to increased administrative costs. The fee for the Controlled Substance Wholesale/Manufacturer supplement license remains $37.50..
If you have misplaced or not received the Renewal Notice for this year, please email (renewal@bop.ohio.gov) or fax us and we will get a duplicate out to you (include your WDDD license number please). The renewal notices were mailed April 25 18, 2012. If you do not receive your renewal by June 1, 2012, please contact us for a duplicate. Remember, the licenses expire June 30, 2012.
